SVI provides users with a wireless network for joining the greater SVI network.  This network provides access to the file server, printing, the internet and any other server resources.  Users are able to connect up to three wireless devices at once. This  This network is to be used for users' SVI owned computers and devices and can include personal devices such as smart phones, personal laptops and tablets.

Instructions

There are three two stages:

  1. Obtaining your personal WiFi password

  2. Connecting to the wireless networkAuthenticating with your account

The name of the SVI wireless network is “svi”. Find this in the list of available wireless networks on your device and connect to this network.

It will then prompt for a password - enter your unique WiFi PSK from step 1.

3. Authenticating with your account

Please remove any Ethernet data cables connected to your device during this step

If the authentication screen appears but does not load, ensure you do not have a custom DNS server set on your device, and you have disconnected any Ethernet cables & VPN connections.

Depending on what device you have, it may automatically open a browser and take you to the authentication screen. If it does not open automatically, simply open any browser and try to navigate to a non-HTTPs website (for example, example.com - Yes it really is example.com) and it will bring up the authentication screen.

Enter your SVI username and password.

You can have up to three different devices connected to the SVI wireless network. If this is your fourth device, it will ask you to remove one of your three previously connected devices.
