Windows - How to Restore an Older Version of a File or Folder
If you have made an unwanted change to file or folder in a network drive location, you can restore it yourself.
If you are on a macOS device, you can restore previous versions via the Remote Server, or lodge an IT request.
Navigate to the location in File Explorer.
Right click on the file or folder and click Properties, followed by Previous Versions | |
You will see a list of objects which are the previously backed up versions. Select the date/time version you want to restore - you can click Open to view it. You can save a copy from this snapshot elsewhere.
Or select Restore which will overwrite your original version. You will receive a prompt to confirm this behaviour with you.
Delete the unwanted version as required.
