NRL - Connecting a Audio Headset

If you are using a headset with 2 pin connection you will need an adaptor to connect it to your Windows computer. Adaptors have been issued to all users of these headsets at NRL.

  1. With the adaptor attached to your headset, connect the single connector into the headset port of the computer.

  2. You will be prompted on screen by the Dell Optimizer app asking you to set the type of audio device you are using

  3. Set the appropriate type and click ok

  4. Do not disable the option being prompted again in the future as this will stop the headset working if it is disconnected

  5. Your headset will now be available to use in Teams and Zoom etc

If you have any issues or Dell optimizer is not installed on your computer, please raise an IT ticket.
