SVI - Conference Room
AV Equipment
This room is equipped with:
Wall touch panel for controlling AV
4K projector and screen
Ceiling speakers
x2 Ceiling mounted 4K cameras
x2 Handheld microphones
x2 Lapel microphones
To use the equipment, you will need to BYOD (bring your own device).
Turning on and connecting to the projector
Use the remote on the podium to lower the projector screen
Connect your laptop to the HDMI cable
If your device does not have this port, adaptors are available to loan from the IT team.
Turn on the projector from the wall panel by pressing the power button in the bottom right
Ensure the HDMI 1 source is also selected on the top left of the panel
On your laptop, set your display settings to mirror on the large screen
Windows – press and hold the Windows key and P – select Duplicate.
MacOS – System Settings>displays>display settings>select mirror
Using the speakers and mics for Teams or Zoom meetings
If you are using Zoom or Teams then also connect the USB C cable which will connect the microphones and camera
In your app of choice, set your speaker output to SonyPJ and the microphone to UMC202HD
Set the camera to AverCam540
Alternatively you can use your laptop’s integrated mic and camera
Troubleshooting
No display on projector screen
Ensure the projector is powered on
Ensure HDMI 1 is selected on the wall panel
Ensure your device is displaying to the projector as per the Windows and MacOS display settings above
Audio issues
Ensure the speaker output is set to SonyPJ on your computer and Zoom/Teams.
Microphone issues
Ensure the microphone input is set to UMC202HD when using Zoom/Teams.
Camera issues
Camera should be set to AverCam540. Note you can only use 1 of the ceiling cameras at a time during online meetings.
Where possible connect the USB and HMDI cables on different sides of your laptop as when all the devices are connected, they use a lot of data bandwidth of the laptop.
Disconnect and reconnect the cables if the devices are not being detected on your laptop.
If you are having any issues, please speak with the IT team. Do not move or disconnect any of the AV equipment unless asked to by IT.
